![]() ![]() I agree that (theoretically) creating a user DSN and using SQL would be the easiest method, but it doesn't seem to pan out that way. I would like to use EZxslt because it sounds like just what I need, but unfortunately we do not have FM v6.ĭoes anyone have any experience with doing this, or could recommend some methods or ideas that might help me make the process a little easier? I also know that records can be exported from FileMaker in a number of ways, and I'm wondering if perhaps there is an easier or faster way of doing the same thing by automatically exporting records instead of querying the FileMaker DB. I found this article describing the process. Ultimately, I would like to be able to specify a couple simple variables (like order #, CC# and charge authorization #) and have the rest of the info automatically pulled from FileMaker and filled into my Mail Merge (such as address, shipping date, charge, etc.). It's pretty tedious, and a big waste of time. It works okay, but for every chargeback response I need to manually copy all of the customer data out of the FileMaker client software we use. All of our customer records are stored in FileMaker, and I prepare the chargeback responses using Word 2000 and Mail Merge capabilities. and to my point:Īmongst other things, I handle chargebacks for the company I work for. Not sure this is the best place to post this, but I hope you can help.
